Tomorrowland, the hugely popular European electronic dance music (EDM) festival, has announced it will host its first-ever full-fledged Asia edition in Thailand this December.
Thailand was selected due to its growing influence on the global music stage, coupled with its innovation and experience-driven tourism, Tomorrowland stated on Tuesday.
Founded 20 years ago by Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland has turned into one of the world’s most iconic celebrations of EDM. The festival’s Belgian edition typically features elaborate stages and exhilarating parties, attracting music lovers from around the globe.
The Thailand edition is expected to draw more than 50,000 attendees each day in Pattaya from December 11 to 13.
Ticket pre-registration will start on January 8, 2026. A full madness pass covering all three days will be priced at 12,500 baht (approximately $400) while single-day entry will be sold for 5,100 baht.
Further details regarding the festival's theme and lineup will be announced soon, according to the organizers.
While Tomorrowland has previously hosted events in various Asian cities, this will mark the festival's first true representation of the scale typically seen in Belgium.
The Thai government has signed a five-year agreement with Tomorrowland, expecting to generate approximately 21 billion baht ($673 million) during this period, as reported by local media.
Bruno Vanwelsenaers, CEO of Tomorrowland, expressed excitement about expanding the festival to a new continent, calling it a milestone we approach with great respect and excitement... This is the beginning of a long-term story.
In recent times, Thailand has emerged as a significant player in the live music scene, hosting international festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields. Additionally, the homegrown festival Wonderfruit is gaining popularity, attracting tens of thousands annually.
